Description
Funded by the Erasmus+ Agency as part of its Key Action 2 (Cooperation partnerships), Changing Coasts has two mains purposes : better understanding the impact of climate changes on coastal evolution, and promoting new learning practices in higher education.
The idea behind this partnership is to integrate a practical dimension into the training of students in geomorphology, physical geaograpy, geoacreology and quaternary geology. In this regard, field-training activities will be held between June 2026 and September 2027 in the Greek Cyclades Islands with five students from each university involved in the project. All the data thus collected will then be analyzed by said students during two laboratory-based seminars, hosted by the universities of Bucharest and Montpellier in 2027 and 2028.
In addition to pure research outcomes, the Changing Coasts project will lead to the development of educational materials, which are to be made publicly available on an open-access platform
